The Wasp range of sweeping machines are designed for towing behind tractors, using a standard drawbar and PTO fixing. The sweeper operates by a direct in-feed principle using a large drum collector brush at the rear and two smaller brushes at the front of the unit with adjustable width settings, ensuring a clean sweep even close to the sides of roads and buildings.
The suspension unit on the rear collector brush maintains the necessary ground pressure as well as accommodating brush wear. This sweeping operation eliminates the need for a vacuum therefore, reducing maintenance costs and the risk of down time dramatically.
The unit is of rugged construction and is well designed, with easily replaceable brushes, a simple from-the-cab emptying system and internal water sprinkling system to keep dust under control.
The Wasp G1 is a proven winner as a long term investment. For a very reasonable cost, you get a functional, versatile street sweeper that will last for many years.
One reason why the G1 has become a best-selling model is due to its manoeuvrability in small areas. Popular amongst property firms, municipal and council authorities, who find this machine is ideal where there are small yards, narrow paths or pavements and roads to sweep.
Its low noise levels, make it suitable for residential and built up urban environments.
The well tried and tested design is outstandingly robust, making it a dependable and hardwearing machine. BEMAB have had great success with these reliable units and one of the early units sold is still in regular use after 20 years.
Frame steering can be added as an option to improve the versatility of the machine and a front mounted kerb brush is available as an optional extra too.
The Wasp G2 is equipped with more than double the volumetric capacity of the G1. It retains flexibility and manoeuvrability inherent to the Wasp and can still be towed by small tool carriers and tractors.
Whilst the design remains the same, a range of adjustments have been made for weight and stability optimisation.
The unit conforms to the basic concept, with a direct inlet from the pick up brush, and suspension maintaining constant ground pressure, whether it is new or worn.
Standard are hydraulic brakes conforming to EU requirements.
The towbar pivot, which allows what is known as ‘frame steering’, makes it easy to drive alongside house walls and road kerbs. Frame steering, 350 mm lateral displacement in both directions.
Speed control of side brushes.
Work lighting.
A front mounted kerb brush is available as an optional extra too.
