AB MÄHLER & SÖNER is a household name in Sweden, synonymous with road clearance and maintenance equipment that has earned the company market leader status throughout Scandinavia.
Established in Hoting, central Sweden in 1895, the company's solid tradition and pedigree has been built on a foundation of innovation and excellence in product development, production and performance, particularly with their ranges of snow clearance equipment for roads, railways and airports.
Now, the company is headquartered in Rossön in north Jämtland where the majority of their production takes place.
In 2007 the company acquired BEMAB - producers of the Wasp range of road-sweepers and other road maintenance products that complement the Mählers portfolio.
The Wasp G1 was launched as a prototype in 1982, entering full production the following year. At that time it was a totally unique solution, and while it has had many imitators over the years, the G1 is still the market leader, thanks to continued development and unrivalled performance.
In October 2007 the 1000th Wasp G1 rolled off the production line, sporting gold paintwork to mark the occasion.
With the strength of Mählers behind them, they do not expect it to take quite as long to reach the 2000th!
