Kiefer GmbH was founded in 1975 as a specialist manufacturer of high-end municipal utility vehicles including the first Boki cemetery excavator.
By the mid-1980s Kiefer products had become well established and the continued development of innovative new concepts and improvements to their products, saw the BOKI and BOKIMOBIL ranges gaining widespread acclaim.
In 1989 the company moved to its present headquarters and manufacturing plant at Dorfen, about 50km northeast of Munich, where its 100 strong workforce continue to develop and produce a growing product range which is marketed throughout Europe.
One of the key factors to their success is a desire not to rest on their laurels, but to continually develop and reinvent their products to bring the most innovative, productive and reliable models to market.
Faced with cheap competition and imports, Kiefer continue to grow as a result of discerning customers recognising that a higher initial investment is more than off-set in the longer-term by virtue of superior performance, productivity and reliability, and lower maintenance and repair costs.
